Kitchen Design Jupiter FL

Two Kitchens. Same Budget. One Feels Extraordinary.

You’ve probably seen it.

Two kitchens with similar square footage. Similar appliances. Similar materials. And one of them just feels different — more considered, more functional, more like it was made for the people who live there.

The difference is almost always design.

Not decoration. Not expensive finishes. Design — the thinking that happens before any product is selected. Where does everything go? How does traffic move through the space? What does the morning actually look like in this kitchen? How does it connect to the rest of the home?

At Palm House Design, kitchen design is where every project starts. We design before we specify, and we specify before we build. The result is a kitchen that works as well as it looks — and keeps working beautifully for years.

Our Approach to Kitchen Design

Your kitchen should fit your life, not the other way around.

That sounds obvious. But most kitchen designers start with a template. They show you pictures from magazines and ask which style you like. Then they try to squeeze your life into someone else’s design.

We do it backwards. We always start with you.

How do you actually use your kitchen? Are you a serious cook who needs professional-grade equipment? Do you have young kids who need a homework spot while you make dinner? Do you love hosting dinner parties for twenty?

The little details matter. They have the biggest impact.

Details shape every design choice that we make. Once we truly understand how you live, we design a kitchen that supports that life. Every cabinet, appliance, and surface is chosen for how you really use it.

The result isn’t just your beautiful dream  kitchen.

It’s a kitchen that makes your daily life easier and more enjoyable.

Jupiter Kitchens Have Specific Demands

Building a kitchen in Jupiter isn’t like building one anywhere else.

The indoor-outdoor relationship matters more here than in most markets. Your kitchen likely connects — or should connect — to a covered lanai, a summer kitchen, or a pool area. That transition needs to be planned, not improvised.

Natural light is intense and directional. Material selections that look warm and balanced in a northern showroom can feel harsh or washed out in full Florida sun. Countertop colors, cabinet finishes, tile selections — all of it needs to be evaluated in Jupiter’s actual light before it’s committed to.

And coastal conditions affect everything from how long hardware lasts to how cabinet finishes hold up over time.

We’ve spent years learning how Jupiter kitchens live. That knowledge is in every decision we make.

Layout: The Decision That Determines Everything Else

Kitchen layout is the most important design decision you’ll make. It’s also the one most people spend the least time on.

We evaluate your current layout honestly. Sometimes it’s working and just needs to be executed better. Often there are adjustments — an island positioned differently, a prep sink added in the right place, a wall removed to open the kitchen to the living area — that transform how the kitchen actually functions.

We work within your home’s structure and your budget’s realities. We’ll tell you what’s achievable, what would require structural changes, and which investments make sense for your situation.

No surprises during kitchen remodel or construction. Every decision made before we build.

We Start With How You Actually Cook

Before we touch a floor plan, we want to understand you.

Are you a serious cook who needs a real workspace — or do you mostly reheat and assemble? Do you have four people at the counter every morning or just two? Do you host large dinner parties, or do you prefer intimate meals where the kitchen stays private?

Do you reach for coffee the moment you’re up? Where do you want to stand when you drink it? Do you unload groceries from the garage or the front door? Do you like having kids nearby while you cook, or do you need the kitchen to itself?

These details matter. They shape the layout. The layout shapes the cabinetry. The cabinetry shapes the palette. Every decision follows from the one before it — and all of it follows from understanding how you live

Materials That Perform In Jupiter

Once the layout is resolved, we develop the material palette. This is where the kitchen’s personality comes from.

Countertops are often the starting point. Natural stone — quartzite, marble, granite — anchors the palette with color and movement that man-made materials can’t fully replicate. We guide you through the tradeoffs honestly: marble is beautiful but needs more care; quartzite is nearly as beautiful and significantly more durable; quartz offers the most consistency with the least maintenance.

Cabinet finishes are developed alongside the countertop selection. That relationship — between the two largest visual surfaces in the room — determines whether the kitchen feels warm or cool, traditional or contemporary, restrained or expressive.

Tile selections add texture and visual interest. We look at everything in context with each other, not in isolation on a sample board.

And every material we recommend has been evaluated for performance in Jupiter’s coastal environment. Beauty matters. Durability matters equally. A kitchen that looks incredible on day one but starts showing wear in two years isn’t a successful design.

Local Communities We Serve

Each community has its own character. Each home has its own story. We approach every project with fresh eyes and deep respect for what makes it unique.

We’ve designed and built kitchens throughout Jupiter and Palm Beach County’s most distinguished homes.

In Admirals Cove, The Bear’s Club, and Lost Tree Village, we’ve created kitchens in estate homes where the design standard was set by the rest of the architecture. We met it.

On Jupiter Island and Palm Beach Island, we’ve worked in properties facing demanding conditions — ocean exposure, strict community standards, and clients whose tastes are exactly as refined as you’d expect.

In Mirasol, Frenchman’s Creek, and Old Palm Golf Club, we’ve helped homeowners transform kitchens that no longer matched how beautifully the rest of their homes had evolved.

Design and Construction as One Team

When design and construction are handled separately, something almost always gets lost in translation.

Details that looked one way on paper get quietly changed during build. The designer’s intent meets the contractor’s reality, and compromises get made without anyone telling the homeowner. You get something close to what you approved — but not exactly.

Because our designers and builders work as one team, what gets designed is what gets built. Our designers know what’s constructible. Our builders understand what’s intended. When challenges come up — and on every significant project, they do — they’re solved together.

You always get what you approved.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does kitchen design take before construction starts?

For most projects, the design phase takes six to ten weeks from initial consultation to approved drawings and specifications. Complex projects with structural changes may take longer. We build this time into the overall schedule so construction can begin with every decision already made — and nothing left to improvise.

Can I bring my own ideas and inspiration?

Please do. Most of our clients arrive with images, Pinterest boards, or specific ideas they’ve been collecting for years. That’s the starting point we want. We take what you’re drawn to and develop it into something that actually works in your specific home — your light, your layout, your life.

What if I want to change something during the design process?

Changes during design are normal. That’s what the process is for. We build review checkpoints specifically to give you opportunities to course-correct before anything is ordered or built. A change during design costs nothing. A change during construction is expensive. We structure things so you never have to make one.

Do you do design-only, without construction?

Our kitchen design services are primarily integrated into our full design-build projects. If you’re planning a complete renovation and want a design-first approach, we’re the right team. For clients who already have a contractor and want design consultation only, reach out and we’ll have that conversation.
